I’m Christie Lower, fiber artist and founder of Rustic Fiber Art and Rustic Fiber Academy. When I first started selling my work, I was juggling being a new mom, grieving the loss of my grandmother, and trying to find a creative outlet that brought me peace and purpose. That’s when I discovered needle felting—and it changed everything.

Over the years, I’ve explored just about every way to sell art online: Etsy, social media, standalone websites, local markets, and more. Along the way, I taught myself branding, website design, and marketing strategies—not because I wanted to be an expert in those things, but because I had to be in order to share my work in a way that felt authentic and sustainable.

But I also learned something else: you don’t need to spend a lot of money to build something meaningful. With the right tools and guidance, you can create a brand, website, and marketing system that supports your art—without getting overwhelmed or burned out.
